CREGAGH WANDERERS v CASTLE 12.11.2011
Written by Team Management

CREGAGH WANDERERS 1 - 2 Castle

We were unfortunately a few players down on Saturday due to illness but our WEE team started the game fantastically by playing the ball about and tackling when required, we even broke the duck and scored first even if it was an own GOAL which both Sam and I thought we deserved as we don't usually start playing until the second half.
NOW the second half came quickly and Castle pressed us constantly back in our own half which left the forwards stranded when the ball was played forward, but we stood strong and playing against 10 players was not easy as the REF gave us nothing from the start and Castle eventually broke us down and scored two quick  goals which knocked our team of it's feet with the match finishing with what Sam and I would class as an UNFAIR result.

UNLUCKY TO NOT GET A WIN BUT KEEP TRYING AND WORKING HARD AND IT WILL COME

Thought for the week: Our team needs to remember that defending starts with our Forwards right back to our Keeper, IT TAKES THE WHOLE TEAM TO DEFEND AS A UNIT..........................

CREGAGH WANDERERS v EIS 22.10.2011

CREGAGH WANDERERS 0 - 1 EIS   22.10.2011

WOOOOOOOO
can I beleive my eyes does that score line only have one goal or is it a mis-print, all joking aside Sam and I think the performance put in on Saturday by the whole team was very nearly bringing the result we all desire. We played the ball around our opponents and had plenty of opportunities but unfortunately Lady Luck just does not want to dance with us at this moment. Our passing, movement and communication was fantastic as we went into half time 0-0 and continued this play throughout the second half only for a very soft goal which deflected off the post and into the back of our net with 10 minutes to go, we tried to get level and I mean we really tried to get level but we just had no luck in front of the goal, this was not a fair result by far as the whole team worked very hard and deserved at least a draw from this match.......................WELL DONE Sealed

CREGAGH WANDERERS 2 - 6 Ards Rangers   15.10.2011

COMMUNICATING
is definitely happening as with the several changes we made at the start of the match we kept the defence the same as last week apart from Simon back at left back and Joel in Goal, we decided to give the rest of our team the chance to start the match and both Sam and I thought they proved they can play as a team as we went into half time all square at 1-1 after Andy scored a a great equaliser from half way into their half and we had our chances to be in the lead, but a special mention goes out to Cain who in the first half was playing well at left Mid but got a rib injury through commiting whole heartedly to a tackle and had to be replaced due to this injury...
2nd half...... we changed five players but unfortuantely we also changed to be playing against the wind which in the end played a major part as yet again we did not have lady luck on our side even after Jordan's goal whch brought us level at 2 - 2 we had our chances to finish the game and then two quick goals by Ards knocked us of our feet and yet again the result does not reflect how the match was played out with both Sam and I noticing within the past few matches that the passing and moving has come together and we feel it is only a matter of time..........AND THE RESULTS WILL COME

Coaches: Sam & John
Gk: Joel   Def: Jamie, Andrew, Andy, Simon   Mid: Jason, Neil, Cain   For: Ernie
Subs: Jack, Sam, Jordan, Nicola, Daniel

 THOUGHT OF THE WEEK……………………..

Keep doing what your doing and the results will follow but most of all keep your back line straight and enjoy your FOOTBALL more than anything else……

2001 fdc CREGAGH WANDERERS v Bangor Colts 08.10.2011

CREGAGH WANDERERS 0-4 Bangor Colts    08.10.2011

WELL DONE to all our players today the gelling of the team is happening and the COMMUNICATING is definitely happening as our passing and movement was much better this week, yes I know your thinking is he NUTS ? “ we lost 4 nil “ but they were lucky / soft goals which we as a team could have prevented from being scored but the PLUS from this match is the team work with Daniel standing in as keeper making some important saves to the defence of Jamie, Andrew, Andy and Neil who all made important tackles and communicated excellently to the Midfield of Jacob, Jordanand Samuel again their communication and movement was great which even enabled our lone striker of Jack to have a couple of chances. We kept the team the same for the first 10 minutes of the second half and had a few chances before we started to use the rest of the team and first to come on was Ernie who replaced Jack up front as our lone striker and I think some times there was two Ernie’s as every time the ball came forward Ernie was on it and was very unlucky not to score as least one goal, Jason came on for Jacob and made good runs down the right wing and most importantly got the ball into the box to cause trouble for their defence until he got injured and had to be replaced by Samuel,  Simon then came on for Neil and straight away contributed to the game with important clearances and stood strong with his defensive partners, Cain came on for Samuel and covered his area well whilst getting the ball forward to our forwards to hassle there defence, it was a fair game and the team as a whole unit played well and both I and Sam feel we were very unlucky not to get a result from this game……………………….

Coaches: Sam & John
Gk: Daniel   Def: Jamie, Andrew, Andy, Neil   Mid: Jacob, Jordan, Samuel   For: Jack
Subs: Jason, Ernie, Cain, Simon

 THOUGHT OF THE WEEK……………………..
Just goes to show that team work does help and the communication along with the passing and movement shows we can play FOOTBALL……
Tongue out

2001 FDC CREGAGH WANDERERS versus Carryduff Colts 01.10.2011
Written by Team Management
Monday, 03 October 2011 00:00

CREGAGH WANDERERS 0-8 Carryduff Colts    01.10.2011

We started the match well and passing was being completed and our players were
not diving in and committing themselves and then Carryduff scored a soft goal
and the
heads dropped with previous matches we gave more soft goals leading up to half time,
2nd half a few changes were made and the team were asked to
COMMUNICATE with
each other and pass the ball this began to happen and we created chances but
unfortunately we were unable to finish these, the passing
was happening and watching
the ball and player took place which seemed to give our team more confidence but if I
was being fair the result does not reflect how the
game played out with CREGAGH
showing real signs of starting to gel as a team.
Coaches: Sam & John
Gk: Joel  Def: Simon, Jordan, Neil, Daniel  Mid: Jacob, Andrew, Samuel  For: Rebecca
Subs: Jack, Jamie, Jason, Ernie, Cain

We have to remember although we are being beaten with these score lines we are
giving soft goals away which we should be blocking.

to work as a team by passing the ball and moving
for each other and the results will follow…………………
